--To provide a world-class research and educational environment

Welcome

The mission of the Saint Louis University Center for Environmental Sciences (SLUCES) is to provide a world-class research and educational environment that examines the interaction of the solid earth, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere, and how humans are interacting with these systems, often resulting in natural hazards and disasters, and to improve humanity’s response to these changing environmental conditions. The center creates opportunities for interdisciplinary research, funding, teaching, education, and outreach by connecting scholars from different disciplines including earth and atmospheric sciences, biology, chemistry, public health, public policy, medicine, law, business and economics at Saint Louis University and all around the world.
