The center organized ENVI Feature Extraction Seminar with ITT Visual Information Solutions September 9, 2008. Students, faculty, and participants from St Louis region enjoyed this half day event at our newly equipped state-of-the-art Remote Sensing and GIS Laboratory located in 3rd Floor of Macelwane Hall at SLU campus. Excellent speaker, good choice of topics, discussions and mix of presentation styles have made this seminar fruitful and attractive. Feature extraction training topics discussed were extraction of:

• Impervious Surfaces
• Residential Rooftops and Buildings
• Roads
• Vehicles
• Wetlands
• Vegetation/Forest
• Rivers
• Agricultural Fields
