Dr. Abduwasit Ghulam

Research professor, Geospatial analyst at Center for Environmental Sciences

Abduwasit Ghulam is a research professor, geospatial analyst with Center for Environmental Sciences at Saint Louis University. He received his BS degree in Physical Geography and MS degree in Cartology and GIS from Xinjiang University, China in 1998 and 2001, respectively, and his PhD degree in Cartology and GIS from Peking University, China in 2006. He has authored more than 25 scientific papers and has written two book chapters. His current research interests include retrieval of surface biophysical parameters by remote sensing, hydrological modeling based on remote sensing & GIS, mineral exploration and monitoring of natural hazards and arid, semi-arid environments as well.
